The Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum will present the 2015 Art of the Angler Show at the Ethan Allen Inn in Danbury Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.

The show is supported by Yankee Fisherman on the HAN Network. John Kovach, host of Yankee Fisherman, will be at the show both days taping segments for future episodes. Covering all kinds of fishing in the Northeast, with a focus on Connecticut, Yankee Fisherman airs at 1 p.m. Thursdays on the HAN Network. Prior shows can be seen in the archives.

Art of the Angler will feature more than 100 tables for fly tyers; collectible, vintage and contemporary rods; reels; fly-tying materials, and art of every description

Programs, seminars and presentations include John Pollock with The Maine Attraction, discussing where large and wild brook trout and landlocked salmon of Maine are and how to catch them;  Sweden’s most recognized tyer and fly-fisherman, Johan Klingberg, demonstrating the flymphs and flyfishing Sweden; Dave Brandt on the Brook Trout of Labrador; Discover the Delaware with Tony Ritter, John Mordock and friends; and Writers Round Table with moderator Kathy Scott and a panel of authors and columnists who will share their techniques and tips on writing.

A used fly-fishing book sale will be held  both days. This sale is open to anyone who wants to sell books or buy more. A live consignment auction will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday in the foyer of the Ethan Allen Inn. Consignments are being accepted. Live auction items will soon be posted on CFFCM Facebook Page and website, www.cffcm.com.

Hours for Art of the Angler are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1. The hotel is located at 21 Lake Avenue Ext. in Danbury, Exit 4 off I-84.
